Jeffrey Friedland, CEO

​

Jeffrey Friedland was the chief executive officer and a director of a NASDAQ listed financial services company, a director of a Nasdaq listed agribusiness company, a director of a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, and the chairman of the supervisory board of a Hong Kong-based company on the  Frankfurt Stock Exchange. 

​

He was a producer and host of Moneytime, a show featuring interviews with CEOs of Nasdaq-listed companies, which was aired on Financial News Network. Financial News Network was purchased by NBC and renamed CNBC.

​

Mr. Friedland also had a joint venture, Response Television Inc., which produced video infomercials with a direct response advertising agency subsidiary of London-based Saatchi & Saatchi. At the time Saatchi & Saatchi was the world's largest advertising agency. ​

​

From the late 1990s until 2007, his company, FC Global Events was America's largest sponsor, based on number of events, of financial and investment events in key cities located throughout the US.  In 2006, FC Events sponsored over 230 live events including major conferences in New York, Atlantic City and New York and luncheons in key cities located throughout the US. This firm was purchased by an Atlanta company in 2008.

Also, from the late 1990s until the global financial crisis in 2008, his firm, Friedland Capital had an office in Beijing focused on enabling Chinese companies to access foreign capital.  During that same period, Mr. Friedland also assisted Brazilian companies to access foreign capital.

 

Mr. Friedland was an owner of two retail cannabis stores and a grow facility in Colorado, a founder and CEO of a publicly-traded cannabinoid research company, a founder of Israel Plant Sciences - an Israel-based company focused on plant breeding and genetics, a founder of a manufacturer and marketer of CBD products, and an early investor in three Canadian cannabis licensed producers all of which became publicly-traded.

 

Mr. Friedland is also of an inventor of an issued US patent for the "Methods and compositions of treating dystrophies and myotonia" with a formulation consisting of cannabinoids and terpenes.


He has been featured or quoted in numerous publications including the Wall Street Journal, Reuters, the New York Times, Bloomberg Television, USA Today, Verslo Zinios (Lithuania), Vercernji (Croatia), International Business Times, the South China Morning Post, the Guam Daily Post, the Forward, the Jewish Week, Quartz, the Jakarta Globe, Israel Daily Television, Breitbart, NBC.com and Forbes.
